The market was good to us today.  I started off late last night making a trade in EOS which is a crypto currency.  I took it off some signals I subscribe to without doing a bunch of research (bad idea).  Once I got in and started looking at the chart I realized this is a trade I’ll likely have to hold a bit longer than I want to.  In general I have these goals on trades:

$100 profit on stock trades

5% ROI on Crypto Trades

These numbers will change, but I currently have a lot of long term holds in the stock market so I have only a small amount of cash to day trade with.

When I woke up this morning I was plesantly suprised by my performance in EOS.  Patience here would be key.  I ususally include my purchase fee as part of my ROI or my take profit order probably would have closed.

I entered at .7126 at 8:38 PM CST.  As I went to bed I wasn’t really in the green.  Not horribly deep in the red but not where I wanted to be.  I was pretty sure orders wouldn’t close overnight because I saw the chart didn’t have incredible trading volume.  Lot’s of spaces.

I’m not overly excited on holding this for a long period of time, but the fees to enter and exit crypto are much higher than stock and my money invested is much lower so this one will be held for a bit.  The good news is I am in the green now, even though as of this wrriting we have a somewhat bearish trend it appears to be starting to head back the other way.

Then today’s stock market opened.  The thing that sucked was I still have a day job so I had a meeting with my boss at the exact time of the market opening.  I didn’t think I’d ever find a trade before I got out of meetings.  Well, proven wrong again.

First trade I did was on Uber.  I entered this one without paying attention to the trend volitility and though it probably would have paid off over the long term I exited after just a few minutes because I would have had to hold this all day because it was trading so flat.

I took the little bit of a loss to get into a better trend.

I then found CVNA, which was having a bullish day and did have a high volitility on the trend.  I entered this trade and was able to exit fairly quickly with a much healthier profit than my target.  Made 2.74% in roughly 15 minutes.

At that point I had hit my goal for the day.  I typically have a daily goal and when I hit it I’m out of the market.  So I pretty much quit looking at charts.

Then just because I was bored later in the day I drew a horizontal line where I saw some resistance on CVNA again thinking it might pop towards the end of the session.

I did this on a few different symbols.

By the time I was done drawing the line the alert went off and CVNA popped again.  I took another 1% in less than 10 minutes.

Now the trading day is closed so we don’t have to do anything else.  Crypto tonight will sit hopefully EOS rises and order closes tonight.

That way I have some $ to trade Crypto over the weekend while the stock market is closed.
